Karoshi

Karoshi is Japanese work for “Death from
Overwork”. There is an engineer who works in
a hi-tech company dead few days ago. There
still many arguments in the issue. Working is
important but how about health? For me,
health is more important than my work,
because if we loose our health, everything is
meaningless.

According to the research people who suffer
from Karoshi always happened to work over
60 hours in a week, under lots of pressure
or work all day long. There are three kinds
of high risk groups that is people who work
in long hours, work in shifts, and don’t
work in regular time. They are the high risk
groups cause Karoshi. In western, they
seldom get Karoshi, because they cut their
life and work easily. Beside that, they pay
much attention to their leisure life. What is
the warning about Karoshi? Just like, having
a headache, having no appetite, hard to
catch your attention, short-tempered,
irritability, pessimistic. The weight changes
dramatically and so one.

In the busy life, we can not avoid overworking,
but we do not ignore the warming from your
body. If you feel tired, you can lay down the
work and take a rest. Doing some simple
exercise , listening to music, drinking tea
or coffee are the good ways to relax.
Appropriate rest is the best way to prevent
Karoshi.
